Today, clinicians are performing physiological dentistry whose practices are as different from that of previous generations as the abacus is to the computer.  Dr. Allen J. Moses is a leader among those dentists today who are successfully treating sleep apnea, snoring, facial pain and temporomandibular disorders and seeing measurable improvement in joint sounds, muscle activity, increased range of jaw movement, patients' blood pressure, blood oxygen level, alertness, cognitive and neurobehavioral performance, neck and pack pain, face pain, ear pain, headaches, diabetes, children's growth, posture, and development of motor skills.  Actually, these changes have been anecdotally observed for over half a century.  The objective measurement and correlation of these phenomenologies are recent developments that have spurred numerous scientific breakthroughs in dental diagnosis and treatments.

Dr. Moses' primary endeavor is the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive general dentistry. He has a special interest, expertise and board certification in the diagnosis and treatment of facial pain and temporomandibular disorders as well as in the exiting field of sleep dentistry.  He has authored a book, Controversy in Temporomandibular Disorders: Clinicians' Guide to Critical Thinking" and contributed chapters to other textbooks in the field.  Dr. Moses has written dozens of articles, reviews and abstracts in these fields, many of which are available on this website.

Dr. Allen Moses holds an appointment as an assistant professor at Rush University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, in the Department of Sleep Disorders, where he teaches and constructs oral appliances to treat sleep apnea and snoring.  He is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Board of Craniofacial Pain.
He earned his B.S. and D.D.S. degrees from the University of Illinois. He served in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps, where he rose to the rank of Captain.  He has lectured and taught courses all over the United States as well as in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Panama, England, France and Italy.

His practice is located in downtown Chicago in the previously well-known Sears Tower, recently renamed Willis Tower.
